THE ALBAYCÍN DISTRICT is located on the “San Miguel” hill, on the right bank of the “Darro” river and opposite the Alhambra hill. To tour the area, you can start in the “Carrera del Darro”, go along the “Paseo de los Tristes” and enjoy one of the more impressive views of the Alhambra . Going up the “Cuesta del Chapiz”, you will enter the historical Albaycín district: “San Salvador” church, “San Nicolás” viewpoint, “Plaza Larga”, “San Bartolomé”… and find a dream world where the light and calmness will captivate you.

The labyrinthine layout of the district remembers of the medieval cities. Wherever you go, you will find a wide range of architectonic styles: towers, city walls, mosque minaret turned into Christian belfry, wells and memories of a past.
