SURROUNDING

THE “TABLEROS” BRIDGE , or “Puerta de los Adufes” is situated opposite the Hotel “Zaguán del Darro”, on the left bank of the Darro river, opposite the Arab Bath. It was the link to the “Old Alcazaba”, the “ Alhambra ” and the “Mauror” hill. Its aim in the past, was to serve as a dam for the river, and it was always used in a military way. It was closed in the twelfth century, during the war between almoravids and almohads, and nowadays shows the history of those rebellion times of glory.
